Caring for your Patches

Spot Cleaning Your Patches

Spot Cleaning, Dust, and Animal Hair

Our patches are usually made from fabric backing, muslin, cotton thread, or polyester thread.

These fabrics are made from artificial materials and require special care when being cleaned.

I Recommend lightly spot cleaning your patch as following:

Spot clean your patch with lukewarm water, gentle soap or detergent (like Tide Free & Gentle or my favorite ), and a clean towel or soft toothbrush.

Rub the towel or toothbrush carefully but firmly on the stain

Allow the cleaned area to dry naturally

Other than soap/detergent, you can also use rubbing alcohol and alcohol cleaning wipes.

Use a lint roller or washi tape to remove any dust, fuzzies, or other light debris from your patch.

Washing Patches

It is not recommended to machine wash your patches; unfortunately, washing machines can result in scrunched-up patches, loose threads, and parts washing/melting off!

However, if you must get your patch wet, we suggest hand washing it. Please do NOT dry patches in the dryer; instead, use a hair dryer or let them air dry.
