About
Hello, I am the sole owner, embroiderer, artist, and designer of Mooncakes Charms. I am a self-taught illustrator currently based in Wilmington, DE.Β I grew up in Scotch Plains, NJ, and graduated from SPFHS, then attended and studied digital art and art history at Raritan Valley Community College, while training and working with my first medical alert dog. At the moment, I try to spread awareness of making everyday life more accessible for people with disabilities and the unexpected challenges some people might face with disabilities and bringing them to light for the general public in hopes of making things more accessible, not just for people with disabilities but also able-bodied people and the elderly as well.
I spend most of my time off hiking through national parks and reservations with my service dog and camera and taking photos of as many interesting plants and animals as I possibly can.
You can find us vending at the Brandywine Zoo during events through out the spring and cooler months.

Caring for your Patches
Spot Cleaning Your Patches
Spot Cleaning, Dust, and Animal Hair
Our patches are usually made from fabric backing, muslin, cotton thread, or polyester thread.
These fabrics are made from artificial materials and require special care when being cleaned.
I Recommend lightly spot cleaning your patch as following:
Spot clean your patch with lukewarm water, gentle soap or detergent (like Tide Free & Gentle or my favorite ), and a clean towel or soft toothbrush.
Rub the towel or toothbrush carefully but firmly on the stain
Allow the cleaned area to dry naturally
Other than soap/detergent, you can also use rubbing alcohol and alcohol cleaning wipes.
Use a lint roller or washi tape to remove any dust, fuzzies, or other light debris from your patch.

Washing Patches
It is not recommended to machine wash your patches; unfortunately, washing machines can result in scrunched-up patches, loose threads, and parts washing/melting off!
However, if you must get your patch wet, we suggest hand washing it. Please do NOT dry patches in the dryer; instead, use a hair dryer or let them air dry.
